Your Front Door Should Encourage Good Feng Shui

If at the beginning, the western world had practiced good feng shui, the trouble we have today in our personal and work lives could had been prevented.

Do you know that an attractive entrance to your home or office will encourage good feng shui? Always arrange your front door to face your harmony or prosperity direction as it helps your families by bringing in love, happiness and fortune.

Never allow any objects to block your front door, as feng shui believe it is an obstacle for good energy to enter. So remember to take it seriously and keeps things away from door.

Another thing to take note is check your door regularly for any broken lines and ensures your door opens smoothly with no problem. A broken door brings bad feng shui to your families.

From my personal feng shui observation, I noticed many house's front door face a solid wall immediately upon entering which is wrong. The distance between the solid wall and open door should be three feet afar. But if you are facing this problem, don't worry and all you have to do is to place a large mirror at the solid wall. The mirror will gave an impression the space is bigger.

Although it is not a perfect solution, since mirror reflecting the main door is not good, it still works if the space gives the feeling of tightness or discomfort. Be aware of how big your door size is. Never allow it to be bigger or smaller than relative to your house size. Your door size does matters.

A narrow door block the much needed good chi to enter your house which means you need to invest more time, money and effort to fulfill your goals. Feng shui is about helping you achieving your goal more quickly. Front door should be wide and lead to a foyer which regulated the fast flow energy as it enters your front door.

The entrance must be well lit and airy. According to feng shui, never allow energy to enter your front door without any buffer to slow down the energy. If you do have this problem, fear not, just put an attractive three-fold screen with a healthy green plant in front, about a few feet away from the main door.

This will help slows the good chi energy. Your front door should not be facing a hill, or hidden by shrubbery when you open your front door. An obstruction in front of your door is considered bad in feng shui. For good feng shui, the optimal shape for your door should be oval or square at the top.

Front door made of solid is better than glass doors. Shape angles pointing at your entrance from other building are bad. What you can do is to place a mirror PaKua to deflect some of the negative chi away from your house. Another alternative is to hang chimes made of wooden or metal. Take note your chimes must be hollow to be effective and Pakua must never be placed inside your house or else it will brings bad fengshui.

If your front door faces North, East or Southeast, you are encouraged to place a small fountain on the right hand side of your front door where you come into the house. It will help increase your finances and improve overall harmony in your home. Never place it on the left-hand side as it will have the opposite effects.
